Post Pandemic Education Systems

Humanity has used the same educational techniques for many centuries, the Socratic method has been the basis of modern education, or at least the most common methodology for the exchange of knowledge.

Later came the industrial revolution, and it forced us to generate new education systems, according to the needs of the industry. The new industrial era needed a newly trained workforce with a little more technical knowledge, it is the era where humanity goes from working on the land and begins to work in factories.

But in this way education was also forced to exist under the factory model, where the raw material was the students who the only thing that they had in common is that they were born the same year, so humanity organized them by “departments” or “assembly stations”, mathematics, science, social studies, etc. Finally, after 13 years, we got a degree and continue with the education that will end up defining us as professionals in life.

Today these first years of university studies are the years where the student begins to prepare, to possibly work in a job that has not yet been invented. This is how fast humanity and technology advance. Therefore, we must change our educational system. The Covid-19 forced us to modify this study method defined many years ago, due to virtuality. Where we go from receiving the conventional classes, to taking the same learning methodology, but in a virtual way. The only change we have made is that we went from receiving classes in person in a classroom to receiving classes virtually on a Tablet or laptop. This is the point where we must take advantage of and really potentiate the digital transformation in education, that is, not to teach like we use to it, but rather to create an interactive and digital educational system.

This digital transformation in education will allow us to better direct education according to the student’s aptitudes so we can enhance the areas in which they perform better and not only group them with more students for the simple fact that they were born the same year.

Interactive digital education also allows us to have better monitoring of the entire educational field, student grades, attendance, courses and, in this way, we have data that can help us make more accurate decisions and with better support.  Learn more of what an administrative educational platform can do for you as a student, parent or responsible for an educational institution.
